“I opened my eyes this morning and beautiful sun rays were resting on my face and bouncing back to the window…I look up and I saw a magnificent, simple and serene scene. The beautiful scene I have been enjoying almost every morning, for a very long time”
Blue sky and white clouds camouflaging against the white and light blue high peaks, framed by the leave less, dark branches and trees, with the occasionally visitor, singing bird. There is still abundant life around me and I am alive, well and grateful.
I am grateful for my eyes so I can contemplate the beauty around me. I am grateful for the birds that come and visit the branch of the trees and sign out loud, without hesitation and without fear, at 4 am almost every morning. I am grateful they walk me up early.
I am grateful I still have enthusiasm for life and a smile on my face everyday. I am grateful I can open my eyes every morning, and use mainly my voice to make a living. I am grateful for that voice given to me. I am grateful I can talk and express myself and I am grateful I can write and share thoughts like these. I am grateful I can work and I can breath and I can move my body and I can walk and I can dance, and I can sign and I can use my hands and I can think.
I am grateful that I can do so many things and I can accomplish so much. I am grateful that sometimes there are challenges and I am grateful there are opportunities and I am grateful there are also decisions to make.
I am grateful I have a place to live, food to eat and a bed to sleep comfortable in it. I am grateful for my family, for my child and for my dog, because they are all well. I am grateful for the rain, for the snow and for the warm and colder days.
I am grateful I can hear beautiful melodies and I can hear amazing voices singing and talented people playing musical instruments. I am grateful for the children playing outside and I am grateful to hear them laughing. I am grateful I can smell the earth, the food and the babies. I am grateful I can feel with my heart and with my touch.
I am grateful I can taste the food and I am grateful I can use all of my senses. I am grateful I still have faith and hope. I am grateful I am a good person and I am grateful I haven’t change that much, from what I have always been, a very grateful person.
Thank you God, thank you!!
